Danger Close (Live in Texas) — Brothers in the Blast

$25.99 $15.00

Four veterans. One grandstand. No net.

Recorded under the lights at the Red Mesa County Fairgrounds as the Texas sun went down, Danger Close captures Brothers in the Blast the way their people know them best: loud, raw, and close enough to feel the dust come up off the boards. It’s outlaw country grit with the heart wide open. The songs are about brotherhood, survival, and the long road home, sung by a band that’s lived every word.

The set opens quiet and builds to a roar with “Second in Command (Lily’s Law),” then Cal brings his brothers to the front of the stage before the band breaks into the hardest-hitting song in their catalog, “We Don’t Dial 911.” There’s a stomp for the devil, a waltz for the man you used to be, and a roll call that gets the whole grandstand laughing. Then the room goes still for “Pick Up the Phone,” a song for anyone carrying more than they let on. On “Whole Damn Pack,” the band drops out and the crowd keeps the beat on the bleachers. The night ends on “All That They See,” with a few thousand voices finishing the song for them.

This isn’t a polished studio record with applause dubbed in. It’s a night you can play again.

If you or someone you love is a veteran in crisis, call or text 988 and press 1.
